Gujiya
Gujiya specially made in Diwali as sweet.
With Suji/semolina, Sugar n Mawa stuff in Maida/APF. N its deep fry sweet with less ingredients.
Cooking time for stuff. : 15 to 20 mins
Resting time : 15 mins
Preparation time for Gujiya : 10 mins
Cooking time: 15 to 20 mins
Serve. : 15 to 20 Gujiya
Ingredients:--
For stuff
125 gms Sooji
2 tab sp Ghee
50 gms khoya/Unsweetened Mawa
80 to 100 gms Powder sugar
1 tsp Cardoman powder
Heat Ghee in pan roast sooji for 15 mins. Let it cool down.
Roast Mawa for 5 mins get liquid consistency. Let it cool down.
Add powder sugar, Cardoman powder n Mawa in roasted sooji mix well.
For Gujiya Layer:--
100 to 125 gms Maida/APF
1 sp Sooji
2 tab sp Ghee
1 cup warm milk.
Sift Maida twice add sooji n Ghee mix well.
Add milk slowly n kneading dough smooth like Paratha. Cover with damp cloth. Give rest for 5 mins.
Make puris n fill stuff in it. Press with finger in each Gujiya 1 tab sp stuff go for fill up. Press both side corner well n make design with help of thumb n finger.
Make all Gujiya like this.
Heat Oil for Fry on high flame. Fry Gujiya on med flame till light golden.
Cool down completely n store in container.
